The first time I tried to remount the external drive, it would not mount. I then deleted the Photos Library on the internal drive. I verified that the photos copied over successfully and could see them in the Photos App. I had run out of room on my internal SSD drive and moved my Photos Library to that same external drive. I have a 1TB external drive that I've been using for Time Machine backups (Mac OS 10.10.5). PS> I attached the file three times but I don't see any recognition that it's been added to this post. Please advise whether I should demand new "valid" XML files from the scanner developer of if I should disregard File Structure's determination of those XML files as being "invalid." In my supporting experience, such tools aren't not only unnecessary, instead often "repair" things that are not broken. The tools the operating systems themselves offer do suffice completely for system maintenance. Since the advent of OS X and Windows 2000, I'd advise against the use of such "helpers". when we were still with OS 7 and Windows 3. Well, in my past experience you couldn't really live without tools like Norton and others. There is just another software thinking our files aren't valid. So there is no actual issue with SilverFast. My inquiry to the scanning engineers follows it includes a screen shot of the TechTool Pro report findings. Concerned about their apparent "invalid status," I emailed the scanner software engineers to ask them to send me "valid" XML files for my scanner.
Running File Structures on my main hard drive has discovered nine invalid XML files from a scanning app that I recently downloaded and activated.
